Campus:
The Houston Community College System is a large network of campuses that provides two-year program and degree level courses to a diverse student population in and around Houston, Texas.
Houston Community College operates six major colleges in different districts. The HCC colleges are:
Central College
The Central College in Midtown, close to downtown and the museum district, is one of HCC's largest campuses offering a diverse course schedule and continuing education programs and career & technology courses for all types of students.
Coleman College
Coleman College for Health Sciences provides students with associate degree and certificate programs in 20 health science fields.
Northeast College
The HCC Northeast College has three Houston campuses and specializes in academic, career & technology and continuing education programs or courses.
Northwest College
The Northwest College has two Houston campuses and provides students quality academic degrees, continuing education, adult education classes and workforce certifications.
Southeast College
With the highest percentage of student growth in the HCC district, the Southeast College is Houston Community College's most popular college.
Southwest College
Leading the way with a Digital Gaming and Simulation Department, HCC Southwest College is a great place for those looking to establish careers as game artists or programmers.

HCC enrollment for all colleges was 55,944 in Spring 2007.
Tuition and Costs:
Houston Community College tuition depends on the programs or degree you have selected. There are many financial aid options available to HCC students through installments, short term loans and scholarships. Before beginning any financial aid application please insure that you have started your FAFSA.
Degrees and Programs:
Houston Community College offers associate degrees, certificates, continuing education, career & technology, and adult education programs/classes. Topics covered include health sciences, business, information technology, arts and languages, and more. Program and course availability varies by location.
Application and Admissions:
All students applying to Houston Community College must first take the Texas State Initiative (TSI) test that determines whether or not they are prepared for college. If the test is completed or a past TSI is presented, the regular HCC admission and application process may begin.
Applying for courses and degrees at Houston Community College can be started through the college directly, or through the Texas Common Application. It is suggested that all students who apply to HCC use the College and Career Planner available through the college.
Official transcripts (from all previously attended colleges or universities) and ACT/SAT/assessment scores are also required. In lieu of ACT/SAT/assessment scores, students must take a Placement exam at a college testing center.
Houston Community College has an open-door admissions policy for potential students who meet specific criteria. Applicants may acquire more information from HCC's Office of Student Records, counselors, and campus offices.
